General information about the courses Laboratory 2, Laboratory 3, and Laboratory 4 in Electrical Engineering
Teaching in experimental laboratories is an essential and fundamental part of the technological education that an electrical and computer engineering student receives during his studies.
Laboratory courses 2-3-4 (“Internship Experiments”) expose the student to a wide range of technological and engineering fields. Labs 2-3 are compulsory courses (2.5 credits each with a grade marked), while MA 4 are faculty selections (1.0 credits and binary grade)
In the mandatory laboratories, seven experiments must be carried out (four in Laboratory 2 and three in Laboratory 3) out of a supply of about 40 different experiments.
The experiments are carried out in 11 research and teaching laboratories of the Faculty, which deal with various and varied fields of research and teaching, and during the experiments, the students are exposed to up-to-date engineering and research fields.
Therefore, the experiments in the internship labs are a unique opportunity to deepen their background in the fields in which students are interested and want to specialize, expand their horizons, and “taste” other fields.
The experiments are often prepared for the execution of a project in the field and are carried out in parallel or before the project.
In order to provide students with a unique and essential learning experience, the experiments are conducted in small study groups between 2 and 8 students in each group. In this framework, personal interaction with the experimental instructor is possible, which enriches the students with his knowledge and experience in the field of experimentation. Registration for laboratory subjects 2-3-4 is carried out in the Labadmin system, after which the registration data is transferred to the Students system.

Students in the Computer or Computer Engineering and Software track:
Students may take laboratory courses 2-3-4 in electrical and computer engineering as elective subjects.

Please note a new guideline starting in the summer semester 2021-2022: up to two experiments can be taken from the same research and teaching laboratory.
