Dr. Haggai Maron Awarded an ERC Starting Grant

Dr. Haggai Maron has received a prestigious ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council.

His research focuses on weight-space learning, an emerging field that treats trained neural networks as data that can be analyzed, edited, and learned from. The project will develop theoretical foundations and practical models for analyzing neural networks, understanding what they have learned, improving and adapting them, and generating new networks.

ERC Starting Grants support outstanding researchers at the beginning of their independent careers and are awarded on the basis of scientific excellence.

Congratulations to Dr. Maron and his research team. We also congratulate Dr. Nir Chania of the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry, who received a grant through the same program.
