Prof. Daniel Soudry is named one of the 40/40 most promising young Israelis.

Prof. Soudry has won the honor of making it into this prestigious list in light of his ground-breaking study in the field of machine learning and neural computation, with an emphasis on neural networks and deep learning.

He got his B.Sc. from the Technion at the Electrical Engineering and Physics program. He then moved on to the direct doctoral track, dealing with the modelling and the analysis of neural networks and their components.

For his post-doctoral studies, he moved-on to Columbia University, New York, where he focused on issues adjacent to neuroscience and machine learning.

Daniel has joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty in 2017 as a fellow of the Taub chair for leaders in science and technology.

Last year, he was shortlisted by INTEL as a “rising star”, (the only Israeli to have made that list!). Thanks to his work and discoveries, our future is bound to look totally different.
