The Faculty congratulates (1979) Dedi Perlmutter on receiving an honorary doctorate from the Technion as part of the 2023  Board of Governors.

David (Dedi) Elimelech Perlmutter is an Israeli computer professional, engineer, and manager who was a senior vice president at Intel. And a founder of the “Our Own” association for Israeli descendants.

In 1980, after completing his electrical engineering studies at the Technion, he joined Intel. In 2006, he moved to the United States and was responsible for all technological decisions regarding processor development at Intel. In 2009, he was named co-director of the chip architecture division and later vice president of products and senior vice president. David was promoted to key positions at the company, and on February 21, 2014, on the 34th anniversary of his work at Intel, Perlmutter left his job and returned to Israel.

We congratulate you on your immense and diverse contribution to the development of Israel’s high-tech industry and its march to the forefront of global technology. For your activity as a Technion graduate, educator, and social and business entrepreneur who celebrates the importance of equal opportunities, diversity, integration, and inclusion of all sectors of Israeli society. Out of great appreciation for your contribution to the Technion House, the advancement of higher education, and your outstanding dedication to the Friends of the Technion in Israel.
