“Technion Graduate Medal” to Aharon Aharon, graduate of the Faculty (1983).

Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan presented the “Technion Graduate Medal” to Aharon Aharon, founder of C-perto, former CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority and CEO of Apple Israel, and graduate of the Faculty (1983). Aharon was awarded the medal for his many achievements that have empowered the Technion, industry, and academia in Israel and worldwide.

The medal is given to Technion graduates who have achieved exceptional achievements and have been awarded to only a few.

Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan presented the “Technion Graduate Medal” to Aharon Aharon, founder of C-perto, former CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority and CEO of Apple Israel, and graduate of the Viterbi Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The Technion Graduate Medal is awarded to graduates who have achieved outstanding achievements in the fields of science, medicine, engineering, technology, and architecture who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the economy, industry, and education. Who showed impressive leadership and exceptional commitment, expressed in public activism for the Technion.

Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan noted, “They embody in their personality the spirit of the Technion, which combines innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and technological and scientific excellence with a social mission. The two are exemplary figures who translated their ideas and inventions into technologies that have changed the face of the economy and society in Israel and worldwide. In their actions, they continue a glorious century-old tradition that began in the historic building on the campus in Hadar and continued with the glorious achievements of the hundred thousand Technion graduates who led and continue today to lead the knowledge-intensive industry in Israel and around the world. I thank you, Aaron and Johnny, for immensely contributing to his field. You are a source of pride for us and an inspirational model for all Technion graduates. The Technion will continue to lead the State of Israel to technological strength, prosperity, and well-being, and no less importantly, will continue to work to advance Israeli society.”

“Congratulations to the two recent winners of the Graduate Medal from the President of the Technion – CS graduate Aharon Aharon, engineer, manager, high-tech entrepreneur, and former head of the Innovation Authority, who studied and taught at the Faculty, and Johnny Seroji, Senior Vice President of Hardware Architectures at Apple, who also studied at the Faculty.
