The faculty is proud to announce that two student teams from our faculty won first and second place in the international SD Express Student Project Competition, organized by the SD Association โ the global organization that defines SD card standards.
The competition featured 21 student teams from leading universities around the world, showcasing innovative and groundbreaking projects.
First place, with a prize of $20,000, was awarded to Shira Barmatz and Shaked Levi, supervised by Prof. Yair Moshe from the SIPL Lab, for their fascinating project โRemote Vital Signs Monitoring Based on PPG.โ The two will be invited to present their project at an international exhibition hosted by the association.

Second place, with a prize of $10,000, was awarded to Itay Hovav and Roi Cohen, supervised by Dr. Harel Yedid from the VISL Lab, for their project โReal-Time Fire Detection System.โ
