Admission to Graduate Studies through the Division of Continuing Education and External Studies
Students whose credentials do not meet the admission requirements for advanced studies
Bachelorโs degree holders from the
Technionโs BSc in Electrical Engineering graduates whose credentials do not meet the admission requirements for graduate studies can sometimes be admitted by taking graduate level courses that are taught in the faculty, through the Division of Continuing Education and External Studies.
This option is available for candidates whose Cumulative GPA in the Bachelorโs Degree is at least 75.
Students who chooses to improve their GPA in this way should consult the facultyโs Graduate Secretariat aboutย the courses required in order to meet admission requirements, and, even after improving their GPA, will be judged by the Admission Committee.
Students will be eligible to apply for graduate studies if:
They studied 4-10 courses, 1 course from the prerequisite basic science courses and the rest, faculty graduate level courses. At least 50% of the faculty courses should be from the joint undergraduate โ graduate curriculum 046โฆย , which they did not take during undergraduate studies. In this context, seminar, advanced, and / or laboratory courses will not count. Students must complete these courses without failing.
The cumulative GPA of these courses and the undergraduate courses will be calculated as detailed in the sequel.
Regular admission requirement apply but the Cumulative GPA will replace the Bachelorโs Degree GPA. Recognition of courses that were taken in the Division of Continuing Education and External Studies to improve the admission requirements will be in accordance with the recommendation of the GSC.
