Second place in the prestigious competition

Doctoral student Erez Zolkov won second place in the prestigious global competition “IEEE RFIC 2022 best student paper”.

Erez received the prize for his work on a multi-frequency communication system, which enables simultaneous reception and transmission on a single antenna, across 2 different frequency ranges. As part of this work, a new multiplexing architecture was implemented and fully integrated into a single silicon chip. This system, which can be adjusted between transmission and reception channels, and has superior performance over previous work in the field.

Erez Zolkov is a doctoral student in Electrical Engineering in the field of integrated circuits for high frequencies, under the supervision of Professor Emanuel Cohen.

Erez conducts joint research for the Technion and Intel in the field of advanced communication systems for the benefit of future communication products.
